All UCSC staff are invited to the Evening Staff Forum with the Chancellor on Thursday, April 1, 5-6:15 p.m. at the Kresge Town Hall.
. This is the first Open Staff Forum of the 2010 calendar year.
. We are holding it at 5 p.m. to give the evening staff a better opportunity to hear and interact with the Chancellor, but we encourage day staff to attend as well if they are able.
. Chancellor Blumenthal will address staff about issues such as budget, furloughs, and layoffs, the UC retirement plan, and the important role that advocacy is having in this budget climate.
. There will be a question and answer period following his opening remarks. To ensure that your question is heard, we encourage you to send in questions to staffadv@ucsc.edu by Monday, March 29. Questions will be read anonymously.
. This event will be available on the web with live audio streaming and will be archived for later review. Check out http://sab.ucsc.edu/ for more info.
As necessary, managers and supervisors are encouraged to provide release time to employees to attend this event.
