Travel advisory for students

To: UCSC Students

From: UCSC Public Affairs

The U.S. State Department earlier this week issued a travel advisory that discourages U.S. citizens from unnecessary travel to parts of Durango, Coahuila, and Chihuahua states in Mexico. Violence among drug trafficking organizations continues to occur in many areas of Mexico, particularly in the northern border region.

If you are planning to travel during spring break, please regularly check for government travel advisories and be prepared to adjust your plans as needed.

Thank you for your attention to this.
