Chancellor Blumenthal invites all faculty and staff to the annual campus celebration on Wednesday, December 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. at University Center.
This year's gathering will reflect on old and new friendships, community, and the promise of a new year - as well as offer an opportunity to learn about the ways in which various goodwill organizations on campus support our community. The event will include light refreshments.
Many faculty and staff are active volunteers with the following organizations that contribute to our community:
Second Harvest Food Bank - Accepting food and cash donations
United Way of Santa Cruz County - Accepting cash donations
Toys for Tots - Accepting toy donations
Student Volunteer Center Giving Tree - Accepting donations for the homeless in our community
Red Cross Blood Bank - Accepting reservations for the Staff/Faculty blood drive sponsored by the Staff Advisory Board on Tuesday, January 19, 2010
We invite everyone to take this wonderful opportunity to learn about and contribute to these organizations that directly benefit those in need this holiday season.
