The University Fire Department is holding a Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) training class for staff and faculty. CERT is a national standard for citizen response which will provide participants with the following skills:
. Recognition of safety hazards
. Disaster response organizational structure
. Disaster communications
. Disaster response planning
. Disaster response management
. Light search and rescue
. Disaster medical care
. Disaster medical triage
. Disaster medical operations management
. Disaster preparedness planning
All participants will also receive a disaster kit for their office for use in emergencies. All staff and faculty are encouraged to take CERT training.

December 1, 2, 7, and 8

9:00 am - 3:00 pm
