Zimride is UC Santa Cruz's new and easy way to coordinate your daily commute or find rides where you need to go. Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) and Zimride have partnered to provide a UCSC-specific rideshare program that makes it easy to share the seats in your car or catch a ride with fellow UCSC colleagues.

It's simple. If you have a car, you can split the costs by driving with campus commuters. If you don't have a car, or choose not to use it, you can use Zimride to find a commute partner. With Zimride you can check out the profiles of your colleagues before you share the ride.

Ridesharing reduces campus traffic and parking impacts, and substantially reduces your carbon footprint. It also saves you money; even if you're only commuting ten miles each way, carpooling can save you over $100 a month. A carpool of 2 or more qualifies you to purchase a discounted Carpool Parking Permit and allows access to close-in parking and discounted daily parking permits.

To add your ride offer or request, go to http://zimride.ucsc.edu -make sure you use your ucsc.edu email address. Add your daily commute before November 30th and be entered to win a $50 gas card.
