Crews have begun major roadway repair work on Heller Road from the west entrance to College Eight. Work will include demolition of the existing road, conform grinding, grading, excavation, installation of a full roadway overlay, and road striping. The project's estimated completion date is September 1.
Two-way traffic control will be in place. Drivers should expect up to three-five minute delays in both directions. The main campus entrance is suggested as an alternate route during the summer.
Construction will be noisy because of large construction equipment.
It is recommended that bicyclists avoid this area and instead use the bike path behind the Music Center to enter or leave campus when accessing the west side of campus. Pedestrian access will be open during construction.
