New CPS after hours crisis service

We are pleased to announce a new program in Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) for the UCSC campus community - the CPS After Hours Crisis Service. The CPS After Hours Crisis Services is available to:

1) On and off campus UCSC students who are in crisis or in urgent situations;

2) UCSC staff and faculty who would like consultation or assistance regarding a student in distress; and

3) Friends and family members who are concerned about a UCSC student.

The service provides crisis assessment, safety planning, referrals, and consultation. In order to access the CPS After Hours Crisis Service, please call 831-459-2628 and choose the menu option "After Hours Crisis Service". You will be connected with a professional counselor for phone assistance. The service is available Monday through Friday 5 p.m.- 8 a.m., and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays. Calls related to crisis assessment, safety planning, referrals, and consultation are still accepted during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m - 5 p.m., by contacting the CPS office at 459-2628.
