UCSC has opened a new dining hall at the Cultural Center at Merrill. The new dining hall offers organic salad bar selections, fruit and vegetables purchased from local farmers, made-to-order sushi, a variety of beans, grains, and other whole foods, and many vegetarian options.
The dining hall has themed dinner nights every night, including Chinese, American, Russian, and Thai.
The campuswide Waste Prevention group is working on getting any wasted food from the dining hall composted.
