Berry lovers will celebrate the opening on Tuesday, June 3, of the UCSC Farm's Market Cart at the base of campus.
Flavorful organic strawberries and blueberries signal the beginning of summer, and fresh organic produce and flowers will be available twice a week throughout the growing season.
The Farm & Garden's Market Cart will be open Tuesdays and Fridays, noon to 6 p.m., at the corner of Bay and High Streets.
In addition to berries, early offerings will include lettuce, kale, chard, spinach, beets, and garlic, as well as colorful bouquets of flowers.
All proceeds benefit the UCSC Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food System's apprenticeship program in ecological horticulture. For more information, call (831) 459-3240.
