Jessica Fiske Bailey has now formally been given the title of assistant vice provost for Undergraduate Education, a role she has been filling unofficially since July 2007.
As assistant vice provost, Fiske Bailey will serve as the senior staff member to William Ladusaw, vice provost and dean of Undergraduate Education and represent the Division of Undergraduate Education on his behalf. Her responsibilities include providing policy and procedural direction for the division and its units, particularly in the areas of resource management, development, external relations, international partnerships, and curricular capacity.
Prior to joining UCSC, Fiske Bailey, who has a master's degree in public administration, worked as a principal analyst in the judicial branch of state government and directed a statewide nonprofit organization. She has also served as senior staff to the vice chancellor of Student Affairs at UC Berkeley.
