Financial management seminar offered for retirees, those retiring soon

Retirees and those soon to retire are invited to a free financial management seminar on Wednesday, March 26, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The seminar, titled "Planning Today for your Fiscal Tomorrow," is cosponsored by the UCSC Retirees Association, the UCSC Emeriti Group, and the Office of the Chancellor. The seminar will be held at Porter College, Room 144, D Building.

Adrian Harris, UCLA Vice Chancellor-Planning Emeritus, will provide valuable financial advice for UC retirees. Topics to be covered during the four-hour seminar include personal and estate planning; wills, trusts, and charitable gifts; organizing records for survivors; the broad spectrum of investment opportunities and strategies; Social Security; real estate issues; and converting assets into income streams. Ample time will be provided for questions and interaction.

Spouses/partners are encouraged to attend.
