I am very sorry to inform you that we have learned that Michael Harami, a Merrill College undergraduate, died early Saturday morning from injuries he received in a skateboarding accident.

Michael, who passed away at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, was a senior. He first enrolled at UCSC as a freshman in Fall 2003 and was majoring in Earth Sciences. Michael was planning to graduate this spring.

A memorial service for Michael will be held on November 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Brookside Golf Course, Mediterranean Room, 1133 N. Rosemont Ave., Pasadena.

I know you'll join me in extending our most heartfelt condolences to Michael's parents, Chiaki and Judy; to other family members; and to his many friends.
