Merrill College will host Brian Steidle, former U.S. Marine captain and author of The Devil Came on Horseback - Bearing Witness to the Genocide in Darfur at 6:45 p.m., October 15, in Classroom Unit II.
The discussion with Steidle will follow a showing of the film The Devil Came on Horseback, which is based on his photography and first-hand testimony. Manohla Dargis of the New York Times called the documentary "brutal, urgent, devastating."
The event is in honor of Merrill College's 40th anniversary.
