I am sorry to report that Jeanne Whitney, who served as a lead programmer analyst in the ITS Division, died on Sunday, July 1. She was 59.
Jeanne joined the campus in 1979, initially working in University Relations. In 1984 she joined what is now Information Technology Services and worked on the implementation of a number of critical campus systems, including the financial information system. Most recently, she supported applications for the offices of the Chancellor and Executive Vice Chancellor, including the campus Data Warehouse and the Alumni Donor and Friends systems. Jeanne retired in 1998 and rejoined the campus in 2002. She was extremely knowledgeable in designing complex software applications and databases and often served as a resource and mentor to others.
Please join me in extending our deepest condolences to Jeanne's family and to her many colleagues and friends.
