Campus Elections Results

I write to inform you of the Spring 2007 Campus Elections results. We had

an undergraduate voter turnout of 36.77%, the highest in eight years. The

graduate voter turnout was 32.56%, the highest in seven years. The

combined voter turnout was 36.73%. All four measures that were on the

ballot passed, and when/if they are approved by President Dynes, all of the

new fees resulting from this election, which include a 33% return to aid

component, will go into effect Fall 2007.

In summary:

Measure 30 - Learning Support Services Sustainability Fee - PASSED:

Creates a new fee of $6.64 per student/per quarter beginning Fall 2007

Measure 31 - Athletics Funding Measure - PASSED:

Creates a new fee of $5.00 per student/per quarter beginning Fall 2007

Measure 31 - Physical Education Program - PASSED:

Creates a new fee of $4.50 per student/per quarter beginning Fall 2007

Measure 32 - Graduate Student Government Fee Increase - PASSED:

Increases the existing graduate student government fee to $14.50 per

student/per quarter beginning Fall 2007 (increase of $4.50 per student/per

quarter).
