Students go to polls, approve four fee increases

Students approved all four fee increase proposals, elected student government leaders, and expressed their views on several "opinion poll" issues in spring elections.

Undergraduate turnout was 36.77 percent, the highest in eight years. The graduate voter turnout was 32.56 percent, the highest in seven years.

If the ballot measures are formally approved by UC President Robert Dynes, all of the new fees resulting from the election will go into effect in fall quarter.

Election results are posted online.
