Undergraduate students who participated in the 2007 Faculty Mentor Program will present their research at a colloquium on June 5 and 6 from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the Cervantes and Velazquez Room D at the Bay Tree Conference Center. The colloquium presentations are the culmination of two quarters of research guided by faculty mentors in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Students interested in applying to the Faculty Mentorship Program, or those who are curious about what the program entails, are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided to all attendees.
Sponsored by Educational Opportunity Programs, the mentorship program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience and exposure to the broad range of tasks involved in conducting a research project. The program prepares fellows for future educational opportunities at the graduate level and promotes the pursuit of academic careers.
