Exhibit by UCSC art students at Museum of Art and History

An exhibition by UCSC art students titled "Invisible Boardwalks" runs through June 1 at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.

The Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History is presenting an exhibition by UCSC art students titled "Invisible Boardwalks" through June 1 at its Lezin Gallery. Curated by Elliot Anderson, assistant professor of art and electronic media, the exhibit is a tribute to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and its many faces.

Using a variety of new media and photography, the art students explore ideas of perspective and ways of seeing by creating their own multifaceted vision of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The work examines historical and contemporary points of view of the culture, people, and surroundings that give rise to a multilayered experience of an "Invisible Boardwalk."

This exhibition is presented as part of the museum's exhibit Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: A Century by the Sea. The UCSC student artists featured include Mollye Chudacoff, Toan Do, Leonel Diaz, Jordan Jurich, Jenna Ong, Ian Alan Paul, Nolan Plant, Robert Plant, Satadru Sovan Banduri, and Lydia Schufreider.
