Susan Miller, director of English language and international programs at the University of California Extension, Santa Cruz, has been elected to a two-year term as secretary of the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP). The organization is the top professional and advocacy organization for university-based ESL programs in the U.S.
Miller oversees intensive and contract English-language programs offered by UCSC Extension. In addition, she develops custom professional development programs for employees of international corporations and members of foreign governments. She has been in the field of teaching English as a second language since 1977.
