Students and alumni artists from UCSC’s Digital Arts and New Media (DANM) grad program will join forces with the local Santa Cruz fashion scene on Friday, February 15, at the downtown Museum of Art and History.

Post Valentine's Day, it’s a chance to see what happens when the latest local fashions merge with modern digital art.

Featuring a vibrant runway show with work by local fashion artists and designers winding through the museum’s atrium at 6:30 p.m., the event will also showcase the DANM program’s wide array of the latest in interactive digital art and technology.

The evening will include everything from live video mixing, interactive games, iPad story-making, and multimedia performances, to interactive art installations, video projections, photography, digital puzzles, and live music.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to personally talk to the artists about their work and participate in their latest cutting-edge creations.

They will also be able to create fashion art in their own style through a variety of do-it-yourself fashion workshops.

The runway show will include pieces by Rose Sellery , Tobin Keller & Barbara Bartels, Angelo Grova, Rachel Riot of Manic Designs, IBBayo, Sally Esposito, Andrea Graziosi, Christina Morgan Cree, Kathleen Crocetti, The Great Morgani, Charlotte Kruk, Caroline Webster, Sarah Lesher, Caitlin Slay, Marilou Moschetti, and teen fashion artists.

Festivities take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5 General, $3 students and seniors, and free for MAH members and children under 12.

The Museum of Art and History is located at 705 Front Street in downtown Santa Cruz.
