Proud Banana Slug and hardcore San Francisco Giants fan, Ashkon Davaran (Porter '02, Theater Arts) has a grand slam viral hit with his YouTube video tribute to the world champion Giants and their fans, set to a wacky re-mix of the 1981 Journey hit "Don't Stop Believin'."

Davaran's "Don't Stop Believin': Giants 2010 Official Anthem" had more than 1.5 million hits as of Tuesday, after the Giants won the World Series four games to one by beating the Texas Rangers 3-1 in the fifth game.

Since Davaran, 29, posted the video October 10 it's attracted national attention as the Giants' fortunes have prospered, including articles in the Contra Costa Times, San Jose Mercury News, and San Francisco Chronicle. It's also been opening doors for his music and acting career.

Davaran and collaborators Nate Houghteling and Kai Hasson filmed sequences for the 3½-minute video just before the first game of the National League Division Series.
