Interim chief to focus on listening, building understanding
Lt. Mary Garcia, who will serve as interim police chief at UC Santa Cruz beginning Dec. 5, said she wants to strengthen the relationship between the campus community and the UCSC Police Department by increasing understanding, continuing to be open, and listening.
