Announced labor strike at UC campuses on Wednesday and Thursday
UC-AFT, the union that represents lecturers, has announced that it will be holding a systemwide labor strike at UC campuses on Wednesday and Thursday, November 17 and 18. Picketing by lecturers is expected to happen at the main entrance and west entrance of UC Santa Cruz.

Kamaleswaran to serve as interim vice chancellor for Business and Administrative Services
I am pleased to announce that Biju Kamaleswaran, our Associate Vice Chancellor, Financial Affairs and Campus Controller, has agreed to serve as interim Vice Chancellor for Business and Administrative Services. His interim appointment takes effect Jan. 4, 2022, pending approval by the UC president.
