Professor honored by Linguistic Society of America for decades of work on endangered languages

Hale Award last week in New York City at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America (LSA). Institute of Arts and Sciences to present talk by politically provocative artist Glenn Ligon
Glenn Ligon is perhaps best known for his landmark series of text-based paintings, which draw on the words of such diverse figures as Richard Pryor, Zora Neale Hurston, and Gertrude Stein.
