Martha Mendoza
Alumna Martha Mendoza (Kresge '88, independent major, journalism and education) won an Emmy for her work on the documentary Kids Caught in the Crackdown, which investigates the detention of migrant children in federally funded shelters.
UCSC alumna Maya Rudolph
Alumna Maya Rudolph (Porter '95, photography) won two Emmy awards—one for her impression of California senator and Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Saturday Night Live, the other (her first-ever Emmy) for her voice-over work in the animated Netflix series Big Mouth.
