The UC Santa Cruz Police Department is seeking community assistance in identifying a suspect who attempted to take a cell phone and keys from a student walking on Coolidge Drive, near the 20 mph curve.

ITS Service Announcement: Canvas at UCSC is now available
The new UCSC Learning Management System, Canvas, is now available. Faculty who are teaching in spring may log in and begin adding content to their pre-created course shells. Faculty who wish to work on courses for future quarters or experiment with Canvas can request a test course.

In Memoriam: Mary Zavanelli (1955 – 2017)
Mary Zavanelli began teaching for the biology department in 1995 and continued for 21 years as a full-time lecturer.

Responding to increased parking demand
Fall quarter saw a record-breaking demand for both parking permits and parking spaces on our campus. While some areas have improved since then (such as capacity at the East Remote lot), others have not. I’d like to provide you with a parking update, and efforts we’re making to improve the situation.
