Beach hazards warning from the National Weather Service
Hurricane Fabio in the eastern north Pacific will generate a moderate-height, long-period southerly swell over the coming days. A Beach Hazards Statement has been issued for the entire coast from Monterey to Sonoma County. It will be in effect from late Wednesday through Saturday afternoon.

California Whistleblower Protection Act – Annual Notice
The University’s Whistleblower Policy provides multiple avenues for employees to bring forward concerns of potential employee misconduct. Faculty and staff are encouraged to bring forward concerns about possible improper governmental activity directly to their supervisor, department head, Locally Designated Official (LDO) or other appropriate university offices or officials.

Jody Greene appointed associate vice provost for teaching and learning
Jody Greene, professor of literature, feminist studies, and history of consciousness, and director of the Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning (CITL), has been appointed associate vice provost for teaching and learning within the Academic Affairs Division. Annual training exercise for active shooter, June 18 to 22
Similar to prior years, a training exercise sponsored by the UC Santa Cruz Police Department will be held from June 18 to 22 at the Theater Arts Center and Baskin Visual Arts complex.
