Economics Professor Robert Fairlie recently received the Bradford-Osborne Research Award for a paper he released in August 2020 that showed minority-owned businesses were affected by pandemic-related closures at higher rates.

Announced labor strike at UC campuses on Wednesday and Thursday
UC-AFT, the union that represents lecturers, has announced that it will be holding a systemwide labor strike at the nine undergraduate-serving UC campuses this Wednesday and Thursday, November 17 and 18.
