Decarbonization & Electrification Planning and Town Hall
UC Santa Cruz is embarking on the next phase toward the full decarbonization and electrification of the campus. To reach this goal, Chancellor Cynthia Larive has charged the UCSC Decarbonization & Electrification (D&E) Task Force with developing a long-term plan to end the use of fossil fuels by the university.

As announced in the September 14, 2021 message from Chancellor Cynthia Larive and Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Lori Kletzer, UC Santa Cruz will invest $5.5 million over three years (2021/22, 2022/23, and 2023/24) in a salary equity program for our non-represented staff.
