Changes in Back-up Care Tax implications
Effective, May 12, 2023, employees or students who use the Back-up Care Program will be required to pay taxes on the imputed or miscellaneous income corresponding to the hours of care used.

Kevin Domby has been appointed to the position of Executive Director of Public Safety and UC Santa Cruz Chief of Police. Monday was Chief Domby’s first day.

Fentanyl Awareness Day is May 9
Tuesday, May 9 marks the second annual national Fentanyl Awareness Day. Free fentanyl testing strips are available for students. Naloxone (brand name Narcan) is also available for students, staff and faculty on the UC Santa Cruz campus.
