In Memoriam — Karina Hermosillo
A treasured member of UCSC’s Student Health Services staff, Karina Hermosillo, has passed away. Karina, who had worked as a Medical Assistant in our center since November 2007, died unexpectedly on March 3. She was 27.

With great sadness we write to inform you that one of our students, Lucas Condit-Schultz, died over the weekend. Lucas, a Merrill junior and Politics major, was a recent transfer to UCSC who had deep family roots in the city of Santa Cruz and at UCSC itself.

In a message to the campus community, EVC Allison Galloway said the alleged victim of a campus sexual assault has informed UCSC police that she staged the attack and fabricated the report to responding officers.
