The Santa Cruz Police Department reported that three suspects were in custody in the Mission Street homicide case, from this past weekend.

Community Crime Alert: Shots fired on Mission Street
On August 2, 2013 at 10:48 PM, Santa Cruz Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1800 and 2000 blocks of Mission Street. Additional calls indicated a victim of a shooting who collided in the parking lot of the Burger King parking lot at 2015 Mission Street.

In Memoriam: Doug Weismann
Doug Weismann, an Information Technology Services staff member, passed away over the weekend. He joined ITS in March of this year after many years as an employee of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey and at Cisco Systems.
