East Remote Solar Project
On March 1, 2019, the campus’ long-planned solar panel installation began in the East Remote parking lot. While this project has made significant progress and completion is in sight, the final phases are scheduled to continue into winter.

Potential power loss at campus sites
UC Santa Cruz may lose power today at noon or later as part of the planned power outage by PG&E. However, the situation is still fluid.

Information for Employees for Wednesday, October 9, 2019
UC Santa Cruz has canceled Wednesday’s classes because of PG&E’s power outage, which is expected to begin at the main campus by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

With power, campus remains open and operational
As of this morning, UC Santa Cruz continues to have power at the main campus, Coastal Science Campus, 2300 Delaware, and the Scotts Valley Center.

UCPath – How It Affects Your Paycheck!
UCPath is coming! In January 2020, UCPath will “go live” for our campus. Employees paid monthly will have their first UCPath payroll date on Jan. 2. Employees who are paid biweekly will have their first UCPath payroll date on Jan. 8.

Campus not expected to lose power
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. informed campus leaders this afternoon that it appears unlikely that main campus and our other Santa Cruz County locations will be included in the utility’s Public Safety Power Shutoff set to begin early Wednesday.

Campus may be affected by PG&E power shutoff
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. announced earlier today that it plans to preemptively cut power to a large swath of Central and Northern California, including Santa Cruz County, to prevent power lines from sparking wildfires during dry and extremely windy weather in the forecast for later this week.
