2025 Notification of Republication of the Clery Act Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), an updated version of the 2025 Annual Security & Fire Safety Report is available for viewing online.
Dear Campus Community,
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), an updated version of the 2025 Annual Security & Fire Safety Report is available for viewing online.
The Annual Security & Fire Safety Report includes the following:
- Information about crime prevention and reporting; emergency response and evacuation procedures; emergency notifications and timely warnings; alcohol, drug, and weapons policies; sexual violence prevention and response policies and procedures; and other campus safety topics. Policies and procedures based on updates to UC PACAOS and SVSH policies effective January 1, 2026.
- Statistics for years 2022, 2023, and 2024 for crimes that occurred on the UC Santa Cruz campus, in certain off‐campus buildings or property, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, campus. For 2024 Domestic Violence campus residential was changed from 14 to 16, non campus was changed from 0 to 1, and on campus was changed from 18 to 19 to include crimes which were reported incorrectly due to a data entry error. These changes were made on 4/30/2026.
- Information on fire safety policies and fire safety systems as well as statistics for years 2022, 2023, and 2024 for fires that occurred in UC Santa Cruz on‐campus student housing facilities. For 2024, several fire statistics were updated to correct data entry errors. These changes were made on 4/30/2026.

Campus safety is a collaborative effort that involves the entire community.
