Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to let you know that we have added a new webpage to the CPEVC site titled Policies on Faculty Rights and Responsibilities. For ease of reference, the page brings together relevant Regents policies, related Academic Personnel Manual provisions, and campus Academic Senate policies that guide faculty rights and responsibilities, including:
- Academic Personnel Manual (APM) 010: Academic Freedom
- APM 011: Academic Freedom, Protection of Professional Standards, and Responsibilities of Non-Faculty Academic Appointees
- APM 015: Faculty Code of Conduct
- Article 3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the AFT (Unit 18)
- Regents Policy 2301: Policy on Course Content
- Regents Policy 4403: Statement of Principles Against Intolerance
- Regents Policy 4408: Public and Discretionary Statements by Academic Units
We will provide this notification each fall, consistent with other required policy reminders.
Thank you for your continued dedication to our students and to the integrity of our academic enterprise.
Sincerely,
Paul
