Last chance! Holiday Food and Fund Drive ends this Thursday
There is still time to give to the Holiday Food and Fund Drive.
Greetings, UC Santa Cruz Faculty and Staff,
Let’s begin 2026 with two pieces of great news:
- First, the donations from our students, faculty, and staff have reached our $50,000 goal for the “triple impact” matching gift from Tibi McCann and Eric Jensen. That means we raised the additional $100,000 they pledged. Way to go, Team Slug!
- Second, the generosity of Tibi and Eric has inspired an anonymous donor to give the largest gift in UC Santa Cruz HFFD history: $150,000! This additional burst of funds has already inspired some on our campus to join the wave of generosity and give a fresh gift in 2026.
Speaking of inspiration, if you can think of ways the HFFD can improve on our campus, please reach out to ucscSAB@ucsc.edu, so we can discuss how you can join our efforts. Here are some ideas to kickstart your creativity:
- Set up a holiday raffle, with the proceeds going to UCSC’s HFFD
- Put on a bake sale and donate the proceeds
- Reach out to local businesses that offer fundraiser nights, so we can support them and raise money
Wherever your strengths and creativity lie, leverage those for the HFFD so you can have fun and help folks at the same time!
