Important: Secure your MyUCSC account and restore direct deposit access
To protect you, we have placed a hold on your account which will affect your ability to receive direct deposit refunds.
This message was emailed on Sept. 24 to those impacted by this phishing scam.
We are writing to let you know that your MyUCSC account was involved in a recent phishing scam attempting to gain access to your personal information. To protect you, we have placed a hold on your account which will affect your ability to receive direct deposit refunds. We understand this situation might feel unsettling, and we want you to know you’re not facing it alone.
Why this matters
Without updating your information, you will not be able to receive direct deposit refunds including any financial aid. Taking the steps outlined below will help restore your access quickly.

- Reset your UCSC Gold password using CruzID Manager.

How your MyUCSC account was impacted
Attackers send emails with official-sounding subject lines like “Notice concerning your UCSC” or “Important announcement regarding your UCSC.” These emails contain links that redirect to fake login pages designed to steal your credentials.
