Student Health Services hosting Sudent Vaccine Clinic Oct. 7 – 8
Flu, COVID-19, and Tdap vaccines available
UCSC students can get vaccinated without leaving campus this October, as Student Health Services hosts its Fall Vaccine Clinic for students. Flu, COVID-19, and Tdap vaccines will be available.
With respiratory virus season approaching, getting vaccinated is one of the easiest ways students can protect themselves and the people around them, and fewer sick days means more time for classes, friends, and everything else that makes up the quarter.
Public health experts, including the California Department of Public Health, recommend staying current on flu and COVID-19 vaccines to help protect against recent strains, especially for anyone spending a lot of time around other people, like students in dorms, dining halls, and classrooms.
Student Vaccine Clinic
Dates: October 7-8
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Stevenson Event Center
Vaccines available: Flu, COVID-19, and Tdap
Cost: Free with UC SHIP; fees may apply without UC SHIP
Make an appointment: Students with UC SHIP can book through Health e-Messenger. Students without UC SHIP should call the Student Health Center at (831) 459-2500 to register and ask about applicable fees. Limited same-day drop in appointments will be available for students.
Check your medical clearances: Log in to Health e-Messenger and go to Medical Clearances to review your status. If you’re an incoming student, make sure you’ve met all requirements, including Tdap.
If you can’t make it to the clinic; that’s okay. Most local pharmacies offer these vaccines, too.
Update your vaccine records: Students can log into Health e-Messenger, go to Medical Clearances, and add flu or COVID-19 vaccination info in a couple of clicks.
