Dear Campus Community,

As part of the University of California’s (UC) commitment to protect our organization and all individuals within it, all UC Santa Cruz (SC) faculty and staff are required to complete mandatory trainings. Completion supports our shared values, Principles of Community, and responsibility to uphold UC policy, state law, and federal regulations. In addition, compliance with all mandatory training is a UC Office of the President priority, with UCSC campus-specific compliance data reviewed and regularly reported to the UC Board of Regents.

Mandatory training courses include:

  • Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH) Prevention (non-supervisors)
  • Sexual Violence and Harassment, Anti-Discrimination, Prevention and Education (SHAPE) (supervisors, MSP, and Faculty)
  • Cybersecurity Awareness (all)
  • Ethical and Compliance Briefing (regular and for researchers)
  • Workplace Violence Prevention (all)
  • Abusive Conduct in the Workplace – one-time training (all)

What you need to do:

  • Log in to the UC Learning Center by going to the launch page
  • Once logged in, select the Required Training icon
  • Complete all assigned required training modules in your queue
  • Ensure all modules are marked complete prior to the expiration date

If you have already completed your required training this cycle, thank you – no further action is needed.
