Dear Faculty and Staff,

Commencement 2026 is nearly here! This celebration of student achievement will be a joyous and momentous occasion that will require many hands. Over 5,000 Slugs will cross the stage on June 12–15. We need ambassadors to help make sure everything runs smoothly during commencement. We’re hoping you’ll sign up!

Ambassador roles over the weekend are designated to help usher guests to their seats, support accessibility accommodations, and more. Learn more about what is needed to make this event a success.

Sign up to volunteer for one (or more!) times. Once you select a time, you will receive a confirmation email and a calendar invite to join an optional virtual orientation on Monday, June 8, from 3–4 p.m. The virtual orientation will be recorded and shared with all volunteers.

Snacks and meals will be provided at each shift.

Please share widely with colleagues who might be willing and able to help ensure this is a memorable celebration for our graduates and their proud family and friends.

The commencement website has additional details. We encourage you to visit it if you’re curious to learn more about all things commencement.

As always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
