Learn about amplifying faculty research through Inspiring Change: The Campaign for UC Santa Cruz

The Academic Senate’s Committee on Development and Fundraising is hosting a conversation about amplifying faculty research through Inspiring Change: The Campaign for UC Santa Cruz

The conversation will be from 4–5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in the Namaste Lounge at College Nine/John R. Lewis College. RSVP online.

Inspiring Change is a $750 million comprehensive fundraising campaign that will expand access to life-changing educational opportunities for students and allow the university to continue to advance world-changing ideas and solutions that benefit all.

The Senate’s event will provide an overview of the priorities of the fundraising campaign and discuss how faculty research can connect with and be elevated through the campaign. Leaders with University Advancement will be joining in the discussion. 

Topics include:

  • What is the campaign and what does it fund?
  • What are the themes for the campaign?
  • How can the campaign and its themes amplify your research?
  • How can we better equip you to articulate the impact of your work with potential donors?
  • How can CDF help you bring your research to the attention of the public and potential donors?

Agenda

  • 4:00–4:45 pm – Conversation with CDF Chair Enrico Ramirez-Ruiz, Vice Chancellor Mark Delos Reyes Davis, and campaign leadership.
  • 4:45–5:15 pm – Turning your research into a compelling story for donors
  • 5:15–6:00 pm – Social time with drinks and appetizers
