The UC Santa Cruz AI Council has launched a new campus website on artificial intelligence: campusai.ucsc.edu. Designed as a centralized hub for the campus community, the site provides guidance on generative AI, including UCSC’s guiding principles for ethical and equitable use, practical training materials and how-to guides, stories showcasing how faculty and students are using AI in their work, and an FAQ addressing questions about privacy, security, and the use of AI in the workplace.

This initiative reflects the AI Council’s recognition that AI is not merely a technical tool but an increasingly central part of UCSC’s academic and operational strategy. Equipping the campus community with clear information, practical tools, and responsible-use guidance is a critical step in supporting ethical, thoughtful, and innovative engagement with AI across the university.
The AI Council welcomes feedback on the site and invites community members to share suggestions via its contact form.
