WASC Reaccreditation—Opportunity to Meet with the Review Team on October 30, 2025
UC Santa Cruz is undergoing a reaccreditation review. These reviews happen every ten years.
This year, UC Santa Cruz is undergoing a reaccreditation review with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)/ WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), our accreditor https://www.wscuc.org/. These reviews happen every ten years. Accreditation is required for our students to be eligible for federal financial aid. Accreditation signifies that an institution or program has undergone a rigorous review process, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement benefiting both our school and the students we serve.
As part of the process, the WASC team will visit campus and meet with faculty, students, staff, and administrators. The campus community is invited to attend meetings with the WASC team in 4286 McHenry Library as follows:
- Thursday, October 30
- Faculty Forum, 1:15–2:00 p.m.
- Students Forum, 2:15–3:00 p.m.
- Staff Forum, 3:15–4:00 p.m.
- Friday, October 31, 11:00–11:30 a.m.
- (Optional) Public Exit Meeting
If you cannot attend these meetings and wish to provide input, please email the WASC/WSCUC team at this confidential address: ucsc@wscuc.org. The email address will only be available until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. See this notification for additional information.
