Common Data Platform update and InfoView transition
We are pleased to announce the selection of Sigma Computing as our new enterprise reporting application.
We are excited to provide an update on the Common Data Platform (CDP) initiative. Following a successful procurement, we are pleased to announce the selection of Sigma Computing as our new enterprise reporting application. This selection signifies a major step toward modernizing our campus data and reporting infrastructure. The selection also addresses InfoView reaching its end of life in December 2027.
Until December 2027, InfoView will remain in parallel operation with the new solution to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption. This extended period of support for both InfoView and Sigma is intended to provide the campus ample time to adopt the new platform.
In preparation for the transition, the Data Management team will have a reduction of additional services provided out of the legacy data warehouse and a freeze on changes/enhancements to InfoView resources.
- Maintenance of the legacy data warehouse and InfoView will continue in order to support parallel operations.
- Beyond maintenance, only critical break/fix support for the legacy data warehouse and InfoView will continue.
- InfoView account requests will continue to be accepted.
- Enhancements to the legacy data warehouse or InfoView will not continue.
- Requests for additional services out of the legacy data warehouse or InfoView will not be accepted.
- Open requests will be reviewed for completion or deferral. Requestors will be notified of review by Data Management.
- Existing service agreements will continue to be supported. However, changes to existing agreements will not be supported.
- Any new requests submitted will be backlogged and evaluated through CDP to determine appropriate action at the conclusion of the transition.
- Technical support for FMW will experience delays.
This fall the Data Management team will complete the pilot phase and finalize the implementation plan. Additional information will be shared in January to InfoView users outlining the implementation timeline, strategy, planned engagement, and training.
