Celebrating a Leader in Payroll Excellence: Pam Heintzleman Honored by PayrollOrg
Recognized at the 43rd Annual Payroll Congress in Orlando, Florida, Heintzleman was honored for her contributions to PayrollOrg’s volunteer efforts, particularly her work on IRS regulation compliance.

Pam Heintzleman, director of Payroll at UC Santa Cruz, has been honored by PayrollOrg, a national leader in payroll education and advocacy, for her outstanding volunteer service and professional excellence. Recognized at the 43rd Annual Payroll Congress in Orlando, Florida, this May, Heintzleman was celebrated for her contributions to PayrollOrg’s volunteer efforts, particularly her work on IRS regulation compliance.
“This recognition is truly an honor,” Heintzleman said. “Volunteering with PayrollOrg has allowed me to grow professionally, stay on top of ever-evolving regulations, and bring valuable insights back to support our campus community. I’m proud to contribute to both my profession and the university.”
A Certified Payroll Professional for over a decade, Heintzleman also holds certifications in management, multi-state payroll, and global payroll. With 17 years at the University of California, six of them at UC Santa Cruz, Heintzleman’s commitment to continuous learning enhances the Payroll Office’s ability to serve the campus’s diverse employees. Her work with PayrollOrg brings early insights into regulatory changes, helping the university proactively adapt and maintain compliance.
“Pam’s payroll knowledge and expertise have been invaluable for UC Santa Cruz during our transition to UCPath,” Associate Vice Chancellor/Campus Controller Biju Kamaleswaran said. “She continues to lead the university and support systemwide efforts to improve.”
The PayrollOrg recognition also provides Heintzleman the opportunity to build a personalized educational program, further advancing training and certifications within the Payroll Department.
