Chancellor's Undergraduate Internship Program accepting proposals from divisions interested in hosting an intern next year

The Chancellor’s Undergraduate Internship Program (CUIP) is accepting proposals from divisions interested in hosting an intern next year. CUIP provides full-time students the opportunity to learn valuable professional skills while supporting UCSC student resource divisions. Interns work within programs and departments throughout the university, and attend a two-unit leadership seminar during the academic school year. With direct support from mentors, they will conceive, develop, and execute a project applicable to their post. Interns earn either a $4000 or $8,000 scholarship for the academic year, depending on the number of hours the student contributes (225 hours or 450).

The chancellor’s office pays for half of the scholarship. The other half is paid by the host site, plus a $250 program participation administrative fee (some departments choose to pay 100% of student scholarships in order to participate because Chancellor's matching funds are limited).

Apply here to host an intern next school year! You can learn more about the CUIP experience on the website, or by contacting Lauren Orme, the CUIP internship coordinator (lvorme@ucsc.edu).
