Alumni Week 2022 planning is underway, and campus departments, units, divisions, and other programs may submit their event plans for the week through January 7, 2022.
Alumni Week will combine virtual and in-person gatherings from April 19–24, 2022.
The beginning of the week, Tuesday through Thursday, will feature virtual events, transitioning to in-person events on Friday. Planners are aiming for mostly in-person events on Saturday and Sunday, though campus partners are welcome to host virtual gatherings during the weekend if they'd prefer, as well.
As always, the Alumni Week planning team is looking forward to highlighting our alumni and inviting them to join us for a week of diverse and dynamic events, either on screen or on scene!

The hybrid nature of this year's Alumni Week allows lots of flexibility. Events can take on many different shapes: lectures, panel discussions, video tours of interesting or beautiful locations, wellness and exercise classes, interactive receptions, and other forms. The Alumni Week planning team is happy to discuss ideas for engaging with our alumni, and making your ideas come to life.
The team can support your event in a variety of ways, including:
- Building an event registration page and RSVP function for your event;
- Tracking your RSVPs and sending you regular updates on attendees;
- Sending out email blasts to your target population;
- Including your events in Alumni Week promotional materials, such as the official UC Santa Cruz social media channels and in UC Santa Cruz Magazine
