Humanities Dean candidate visits

To: UC Santa Cruz Community

From: Interim Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Lori Kletzer

I am happy to announce that starting April 13, four finalists for the Dean of Humanities position will be virtually visiting our campus.  Candidates will be meeting with faculty, staff, and students in the Humanities division and with senior leadership and various constituents from the Chancellor’s and CP/EVC’s offices over the course of two days.

During their virtual visit, each candidate will be giving two public talks, a Scholarly Research talk and a Town Hall talk. A moderated Q & A will follow each presentation. The schedules for these talks are included below.  We encourage everyone to watch through Zoom and to provide feedback via survey to the search committee.

Candidate names and CVs will be available one week prior to their visit.  Materials, video recordings of candidate talks, and survey links will be placed in a Google document linked to the CP/EVC Leadership Searches webpage.

To respect candidate privacy and the integrity of the process, please do not share candidate names, CVs, visit schedules, or related links outside of the UC Santa Cruz community. The Dean of Humanities Search Committee hopes you will actively participate in this important search.  Please direct questions about the recruitment process or interview schedule to Lauren Morgan at llmorgan@ucsc.edu.
