UC Santa Cruz has announced an additional online scoping session to provide people with another opportunity to provide input for its Long Range Development Plan.
To comply with county and state orders related to COVID–19, UC Santa Cruz will be hosting the session online through a live video feed from 6–8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1. The session will be live on this website. A recording of the live video feed will also be included on the LRDP website after the event.
The scoping session will give the public an opportunity to learn more about the environmental review process for the LRDP. Those who participate in the scoping sessions are able to provide comments on the range of issues to be addressed in the EIR.
The agenda is as follows:
- Online Arrival: 6–6:05 p.m.
- Presentation: 6:05–6:30 p.m.
UC Santa Cruz is preparing the Environmental Impact Report for its proposed Long Range Development Plan in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act. The proposed LRDP would replace the 2005 LRDP for campus, and proposes land uses to support the academic mission of UC Santa Cruz through 2040.
If you would like your comments to be read during the scoping session live feed, please send them to eircomment@ucsc.edu before the end of the Scoping Session at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Please note “LRDP EIR Scoping Session” in the subject line and UC Santa Cruz staff will read them aloud during the comment period from 6:30–8 p.m. Please provide your legal name in your email for the record; however, we will not read your name aloud unless you specifically provide approval for this in your email. Depending on the volume of comments received, and as is typical with all public hearings, we may limit each person’s comment to three minutes to make sure all comments are heard.
To help facilitate submission of written comments to be read aloud during the Scoping Session, feel free to use a pre-filled email template.
