I am grateful that our current campus provost and executive vice chancellor stepped in to serve in an interim capacity starting in July 2019 (see announcement).
We are now launching a national recruitment for a permanent campus provost and executive vice chancellor. My thanks to Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Herbie Lee, who has agreed to chair the search advisory committee. We have retained the executive search firm Korn Ferry to assist us in the recruitment, and have formed a search advisory committee that includes faculty, staff, students, and a member of the UC Santa Cruz Foundation.
